Secretary: Beth Robertson. As our members come from all parts of Victoria we try to make sure we cover all directions during the course of the year. Our plan for was 9 rallies. But Quarantine rules have prevented our Club from getting out there. We have to wait and see how Vicoria goes in the next few months. Chesney was a brand of caravan and it was agreed that the club would only be open to Chesney owners. It wasn’t long before it became obvious that the club could not continue to use the name ‘Chesney’ so a competition was held to find a new name for the club. The winner was the Combined Caravan Club of Victoria. To date we have life members who joined in the ‘s and a number of still active members who started in the ‘s : so we are still going strong.
An update from ‘Camping and caravan club’
This month would have been the start of our third year of membership to the Camping and Caravan Club. Although a late call, we decided early Friday morning that it would be silly to even attempt taking the van out when Thelwall and Barton high level bridges reportedly closed to high sided vehicles and on a couple of exposed stretches of the M6 gusts were reaching 65 MPH according to the local weather. Great I thought. There was one fly in the ointment, the booking would have to be before a date in June.
Right what about….
The winner was the Combined Caravan Club of Victoria. To date we have life members who joined in the 70’s and a number of still active members who started.
